For yet another year ClimaCom held its annual technical training for installers and service technicians of air conditioning equipment Mitsubishi Electric in the period 22.04. – 26.04.2024. This time, as usual, there was great interest in the training and the participants were more than 400 in five cities in the country – Sofia, Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Burgas and Varna.

Main highlights of the training:

• What distinguishes PXZ and where do they find application?

The hybrid multisplit air-to-air and air-to-water PXZ series is the new addition to Mitsubishi Electric’s product line.

Thanks to this innovation, end users will now be able to cool and heat their home with only one outdoor unit, while also relying on domestic hot water supply and hot water heating!

The PXZ outdoor unit is available in two sizes: model PXZ-4F75VG with a power of 7.50 kW, which allows you to connect a maximum of 4 indoor units (1 air-to-water unit + 3 air-to-air indoor units) and model PXZ-5F85VG with 8.50 kW, which allows you to add a maximum of 5 indoor units (1 air-to-water unit + 4 indoor air-to-air units).

The compact design of the PXZ outdoor unit makes it possible to install it in tight spaces, and Quiet mode ensures quiet operation while cooling or heating your home.

PXZ guarantees a maximum water outlet temperature of 55°C to -1°C outdoor temperature.

Indoor units can be in all possible variations: wall, floor, duct, ceiling. Ecodan Multi PXZ series heat pumps are unique in their easy installation, as all indoor units that can be selected from a wide range can be connected directly to the outdoor unit, thus reducing the time it takes to build a system.

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation  announced its new Environmental Plan 2025, from April 2024 to March 2026, based on the company’s Environmental Vision 2050¹ long-term commitments to addressing environmental issues.

Contributing to realization of carbon neutrality, circular economy, and nature positive goals.

The company also announced updated greenhouse gas emissions-reduction targets through 2030 for its corporate group, which have been certified by the Science Based Targets Initiative² (SBTi) for conformance with the Paris Agreement’s 1.5°C trajectory.

Mitsubishi Electric, which has positioned sustainability as a cornerstone of its business, management philosophy and environmental vision, aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions at its factories and offices by the fiscal year ending March 31, 2031 and throughout its entire value chain by the fiscal year ending March 31, 2051.

Company’s environmental activities continue to be recognized as first tier

Mitsubishi Electric has announced that the international non-profit organization CDP (a global system that enables companies and cities to measure and manage their environmental impact) has once again awarded the company the highest ranking in the ranking for activities related to climate change and protection of water resources. The big recognition is related to the environmental focus of the company’s commercial activities and goals. The company has been listed 6 times in different categories since 2016.

Mitsubishi Electric, which places sustainability at the heart of its business, management philosophy and its Environmental Vision 2050, aims to achieve net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in its factories and offices by the end of March 31, 2031, and also throughout its value chain by the end of March 31, 2051.

It appears that Mitsubishi Electric will continue to contribute to the realization of a sustainable global environment at its sites around the world by offering energy-saving products and systems and cutting-edge infrastructure.

In order to meet current security requirements, the MELCloud has had a protection mechanism (throttling) since February 5, 2024.

With this improvement we respond to the increased access to the platform by bots and unauthorized third-party applications.

What does that mean?

As part of the optimization, users may be temporarily blocked – namely if the MELCloud platform registers an increased number of requests. If this is the case, the respective user will be blocked for a few hours. Unblocking depends on the number of requests in the hours before blocking.

There are no restrictions when using the MELCloud app itself or through Amazon Alexa or Google Home.

Aiming to contribute to 100% carbon-free electricity

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation announced that it has joined the 24/7 Carbon Free Energy Compact (24/7 CFE Compact), an international initiative established by the United Nations in 2021 with the goal of decarbonizing electricity worldwide. More than 130 organizations* from around the world have joined the Compact, including the U.S. government, major U.S. IT companies, utilities and investment companies, and financial institutions. The phrase “24/7 CFE” means that every kilowatt-hour of electricity consumption is met with carbon-free electricity sources everywhere, every hour of every day.**

Mitsubishi Electric offers a variety of energy-optimization technologies and solutions that align with 24/7 CFE Compact principles for the achievement of decarbonization. One is Multi-Region EMS, a cloud service that enables prosumers (companies) to manage decarbonization targets for all of their sites by optimizing the required number of environmental-value certificates to be purchased and also by transferring renewable-energy value among various sites. The service accumulates renewable-energy value in 30-minute increments*** to enable precise management of environmental value.

Another representative offering from Mitsubishi Electric is BLEnDer® CN for Supplier, a line of packaged software products that enable power retailers in Japan to provide consumers with carbon-free electricity plans.

Going forward, Mitsubishi Electric will actively participate in 24/7 CFE Compact activities and contribute to the achievement of 24/7 CFE by continuing to develop advanced products, systems and solution businesses, in addition to contributing to the realization of eco-friendly infrastructure.

The concealed floor standing type indoor unit is newly introduced to the S-series from Mitsubishi Electric. High energy efficiency is achieved across all capacity range. Airflow rate, and air intake direction can be selected according to the customer’s choice.

The SFZ series has a compact concealed body, providing effective air conditioning in apartments, offices, restaurants and commercial establishments. With a depth of only 200mm you can easy install the unit at floor level. It offers simple method of ensuring highly efficient air conditioning operation.

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation announced that its environmental efforts related to supply chains have earned the company designation as a 2022 Supplier Engagement Leader, the highest ranking in the CDP Supplier Engagement Rating program operated by CDP*, an international non-profit organization that supports environmental disclosure.

This is the third consecutive year since 2020 and sixth time in which Mitsubishi Electric has earned a top ranking for excellent actions and strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and climate-change risk throughout its supply chain.

The Supplier Engagement Rating evaluates the activities of companies that work with their suppliers to address climate change throughout the supply chain. In 2022, the top 8 percent of companies evaluated were selected as top-rated Supplier Engagement Leaders.

In the period 15-19.05.2023 ClimaCom held the annual trainings for installers and service technicians of Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning equipment.

More than 450 participants took part in the training which was carried out in the form of a half-day lecture-presentation in four cities – Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna and Burgas.

The main focus of the training was:

• The newest air conditioner model of Mitsubishi Electric – MSZ-AY

• Ecodan (E-Generation) – heat pump systems Air to water

• New models of outdoor units – PUZ-S(H)MW

• New vertical recuperative Lossnay unit

• New R290 refrigerant monoblock

It is necessary for all partners of the ClimaCom company to undergo the annual training in order to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for working with Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning equipment.

All attendees were licensed for installation and service.
