Mitsubishi Electric Named CDP Supplier Engagement Leader

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation announced that CDP, a global-disclosure system that encourages companies and cities to responsibly manage their environmental impacts, has named Mitsubishi Electric as top rankings for outstanding climate-management practices that the company deploys in its supply chain program. This is Mitsubishi Electric’s third consecutive year to be included in the CDP’s Supplier Engagement leader board.

Rankings are based on questionnaires sent to suppliers in the supply chains of CDP member companies.

The CDP announced in January that Mitsubishi Electric had been named to the CDP Climate 2018 A List and the CDP Water 2018 A List, both for the third consecutive year, recognizing the company’s outstanding efforts to mitigate climate change and protect water resources, respectively.

Under the company’s Environmental Vision 2021 plan focused on realizing low-carbon societies, recycling-based societies and increased respect for biodiversity, Mitsubishi Electric is strengthening its environmental-management foundations and promoting environmental initiatives to become a “global, leading green company.” Mitsubishi Electric also has a long-term environmental vision for the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) over the next 10 to 30 years.

For another year the kids from the 177 Kindergarten “Lyutiche” visited the office of ClimaCom. As always, they had prepared a special program to please us. With songs, dances and poems they managed to bring a lot of joy and happiness.

The children had made a special “survachka”, which they gave us, and each of us had a special hand-made fortune with wonderful wishes.

We thank the children and teachers from 177 Kindergarten “Lyutiche” for the wonderful emotions. The ClimaCom team wishes you Merry Christmas, a healthy and successful New Year!

Let’s protect the environment together

Within 2018, ClimaCom has recycled nearly 2 tons of glass and more than half a ton of paper. This activity is part of the company’s annual plan of social activity, which is bound to protect the environment.

Every year we dump a massive 2.12 billion tons of waste. If all this waste was put on trucks they would go around the world 24 times. That‘s why it’s very important to be responsible for the protection of the planet’s environment and resources.

Top 5 Reasons to Recycle
1. Recycling reduces waste
2. Recycling conserves resources
3. Recycling tackles climate change
4. Recycling saves energy

City Multi Hybrid VRF system now with R32

As the world’s first 2-pipe system to provide simultaneous cooling and heating with heat recovery, the City Multi Hybrid VRF combines the benefits of direct evaporation systems and chilled water systems.

The unique Hybrid VRF systems from Mitsubishi Electric will soon be available in both R2-series and Y-series versions. While each unit uses a combination of refrigerant and water as the energy carrier, only a very small amount of refrigerant actually flows inside the building. Heating and cooling is primarily transferred via water and subsequently directed to the indoor units. An additional benefit is that copper pipes are replaced by their plastic equivalents, which are both more cost-effective and easier to process. This also eliminates the need for the cooling leak tests on the indoor units as required by the F-gas regulation.

Hybrid VRF systems stand out on account of their high energy efficiency, customised comfort in each individual room and low planning, maintenance and assembly workload. Requiring only a reduced refrigerant charge quantity, they are ideally prepared for taking on even greater demands in the future. A true evolution uniting the best of both worlds.
