{"id":15220,"date":"2024-04-08T13:45:29","date_gmt":"2024-04-08T13:45:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/climacom.com\/mitsubishi-electric-unveils-short-term-environmental-plan\/"},"modified":"2026-03-20T07:40:33","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T07:40:33","slug":"mitsubishi-electric-unveils-short-term-environmental-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/climacom.com\/en\/mitsubishi-electric-unveils-short-term-environmental-plan\/","title":{"rendered":"Mitsubishi Electric Unveils short-term Environmental Plan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-c151459bdddf2ea9cd42ca642b3b01a4\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mitsubishielectric.com\/\">Mitsubishi Electric Corporation<\/a>\u00a0 announced its new <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/climacom.com\/en\/mitsubishi-electric-again-named-to-cdps-climate-and-water-a-list-for-6th-time\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Environmental Plan<\/a><\/strong> 2025, from April 2024 to March 2026, based on the company&#8217;s Environmental Vision 2050<sup>1<\/sup>\u00a0long-term commitments to addressing environmental issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-593161421123fdb8b1bb6ad22f9edf9f\">Contributing to realization of carbon neutrality, circular economy, and nature positive goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-00d482d10a9a754fce662bb1cbb68fae\">The company also announced updated greenhouse gas emissions-reduction targets through 2030 for its corporate group, which have been certified by the Science Based Targets Initiative<sup>2<\/sup> (SBTi) for conformance with the Paris Agreement&#8217;s 1.5\u00b0C trajectory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-84a7e03c93908d14280ee1080baa6823\">Mitsubishi Electric, which has positioned sustainability as a cornerstone of its business, management philosophy and environmental vision, aims to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions at its factories and offices by the fiscal year ending March 31, 2031 and throughout its entire value chain by the fiscal year ending March 31, 2051.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1fc7586249bd0e56c36e34cacca52d85\">Moving forward, Mitsubishi Electric will continue contributing to a sustainable global environment by steadily implementing initiatives for environmental planning and the achievement of SBTs, including reducing the environmental impact of its entire value chain, to realize carbon neutrality, circular economy, and nature positive3 goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-755291733b98f9811223a4ecad667d44\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-791bf2dfab4f3100a6e7a2acadfb7ec0\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-d06560e0cb49bc8736f7d6ef9815968a\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.MitsubishiElectric.com\/en\/sustainability\/environment\/ev2050\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.MitsubishiElectric.com\/en\/sustainability\/environment\/ev2050\/index.html<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> International initiatives and collaboration between CDP, the United Nations Global Compact, World Resources Institute and the World Wide Fund for Nature; one of the We Mean Business Coalition commitments.
